We believe flourishing is a human right.
The Tadini House is a sanctuary in progress — a vision rooted in love, community, and beauty. Founded in 2016 by PJ Boone-Edgerton Longoni, a mother whose sons experienced incarceration, The Tadini House began as a simple act of care: opening her home to support and walk alongside returning citizens. Over time, it became more than a home. It became a dream — a space where men returning from incarceration could heal, grow, and thrive in community.
Today, we support individuals and families impacted by the legal system through community-based accompaniment and advocacy. We host the Metro-Phoenix Participatory Defense Hub, where families gather to find support, solidarity, and strength as they navigate the court system — breaking the silence surrounding charges that are often minor, yet carry devastating consequences.
We do not "rehabilitate" people; we honor their wholeness. We are not building programs to fix problems. We are cultivating spaces of beauty, growth, and connection — where people can heal and become exactly who they are meant to be.
The Future Sanctuary
We are actively working toward a bold, long-term vision: a six-story retreat and enterprise center in Metro Phoenix. This project will combine affordable housing, business incubation, wellness services, and sacred space to create a living sanctuary for 33 returning citizens and 66 community exemplars. Here, residents will live, grow, and develop the vital skills needed to emerge as positive leaders in their communities.
Rooted in dignity and belonging, this development reflects our belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to be seen, supported, and empowered — not in spite of a person's past, but as a vital part of their journey toward wholeness.
Though we are not there yet — and currently operate entirely through grassroots dedication without formal funding or staff — these dreams guide us every day.
